Mrs. Gulnur Nurkeyeva participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a smart wind turbine components manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan

Mrs. Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner and Head of the China Office at GRATA International, participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a smart wind turbine components manufacturing plant by SANY Renewable Energy (Kazakhstan). SANY Renewable Energy is a client of GRATA International, including for the implementation of this project.

The plant will be located in Shu, Zhambyl Oblast, within the SEZ “Zhibek Zholy”. A few months ago, Sovereign Wealth Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC and SANY Renewable Energy reached an agreement on its construction. The $114 million project aims to localize the production of components for wind farms, including blades, nacelles, and towers. Its implementation will make a significant contribution to the development of wind power sector in Kazakhstan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the heads of Sovereign Wealth Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov, and SANY Renewable Energy, Mr. Zhou Fugui, the Mayor of the region, Mr. Yerbol Karashukeyev, Vice Minister of Energy, Ilyas Bakytzhan, and the Consul General of the PRC in Almaty, Mrs. Jiang Wei.
